The romance and comedy genre rated movie – Kappal, features a debutante director Karthik G. Krish who coordinates the acting prowess of the following cast to produce an engaging story line full of hilarious performances: Vaibhav, Sonam Bajwa, Karunakaran, VTV Ganesh and others.
One of the cast, Vasu (played by Vaibhav), is the protagonist around whom the movie centers, together with other childhood friends. Having taken an oath during childhood to preserve their celibacy so as to protect their friendship, Vasu as an adult is all set to break this oath! How does he elude his friends to do this, and how would his friends stop him should they realise his intentions?
Shankar (producer) and debutante director Karthik are commended for the great blend of comedy, music, picture and performance. The movie has a good finish; there is an impressive climax to it. Though hilarious, Kappal is overdosed with comedy – giving little room for serious matters. The movie is above average and could have chalked higher score but for certain little hitches and the overdosed comedy.
